 Who AM I?

I have been fascinated with human potential since reading the diaries of Leonardo Da Vinci as a 12 year old. I wondered why so most people failed to reach the potential that Leonardo Da Vinci clearly demonstrated was possible for humans.

Then, when I was 20, a very close friend of mine went away for a month to complete a personal development course. He came back a thoroughly transformed man.

I was instantly intrigued by our ability to change who we are with the right assistance. I wanted some of that for myself...

Soon after completing my Business Studies Degree in 1983, I travelled the world alone for two years.  I watched myself grow, change and develop into more of who I wanted to become. I lost my shyness and lack of confidence. I found that people are the same the world over - striving to make their lives better, kind and considerate, and searching for purpose.

When I came back, I began working for some of the top companies in the world - not because I was an outstanding student at university, but because people were interested in who I had become.

I worked in Australia for Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, and CSR... and I found out one thing - dissatisfaction.

I was working for money and that was nowhere near enough. I was stressed and frustrated, and unfulfilled. So I determined to figure out what I wanted to do with the rest of my career.

I looked back at my life, and realised that I really liked helping people, teaching, and I was really interested in human potential. I had some answers, but that time, coaching was not even a profession, so I still didn't know exactly what to do! All I knew was, I had to keep moving forward. And that's exactly what I did.
With no HR experience, I secured a job in the Human Resources division of KMPG helping people with their careers. I loved this more than anything I had done, but it was still not enough. I wanted to help people in every area of life.

Fortunately, I was given an assignment to help train some Senior Managers in a huge TelCo on how to coach their staff. I knew nothing about coaching and had never developed or run a training program.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, I had finally found coaching, loved it, and threw myself into learning as much as I could about it. That was back in the very early days of "Coaching". My next job was as a General Manager of a small IT company. I coached the staff, and we grew by 280% in 12 months.

After a couple of years, it was time to move back to Australia and get into coaching full time. I undertook training and began full time work as a coach. Finally I was doing what I loved, but I was still limited by being in a Franchise. After three years, I set out on my own, founding my business "Personal Growth". The journey continues with my seminars, group coaching, one on one coaching, writing, and learning from countless books, seminars and coaches who have thankfully been part of the adventure I call life. I am a qualified Demartini Method Facilitator  (this is the most powerful transformation process I've ever come across in all these years).

I specialise in helping people realising their potential using powerful tools, processes, models and systems to connect people with the unlimited power of their human spirit.

Even after all these years, my business is only as good as my last client's success, so you can be confident that I won’t rest until you’re completely satisfied.
PS I love kite surfing, mountain biking, painting, working out, cooking, eating raw organics, photography, wood work, writing, reading, watching movies, horse riding, sailing, ski-ing, tennis, playing and coaching soccer, and travelling.
